Lia AI, Inc. builds Lia, the Origination Intelligence platform for mortgage banking. This is who we are and what we believe.
Mortgage runs on systems that were designed to record work, not to do it. The LOS holds the file. The CRM holds the contact. Between them sits an enormous amount of human effort spent chasing, transcribing, re-typing, checking, and writing the same status update for the fourth time this week.
Lia reads across those systems, works out what should happen next, and prepares it. Then it stops and waits for a person. Loan officers and processors open finished work instead of blank fields, and every message that reaches a borrower is sent by a licensed human who is accountable for it.
Before Lia was a platform, we were consultants inside the industry. For more than a decade we worked shoulder to shoulder with mortgage companies and banks, inside their pipelines, their processes, their systems, and the daily grind between first inquiry and funded loan.
We watched the same failures repeat at every desk. Follow-ups slipping. Files stalling quietly. Evenings lost to data entry. Good borrowers going cold while the marketing budget bought new ones. We built the same partial fixes over and over for different lenders, and eventually it was obvious that the fix wanted to be a product.
That origin still shapes how we work. We build alongside working lenders rather than in a lab, we ship against real pipelines, and we take feedback from processors and loan officers more seriously than from anyone else.
Outbound autonomy is not a feature we have chosen not to ship. It is a thing we do not build. In a licensed industry, the sender has to be a human being who is accountable for the words.
If a loan officer has to change how they work, we have failed. Lia has to deliver its value whether or not anyone opens it, which rules out most of what software companies like to build.
Lia connects read-only and least-privilege. It does not write back to your LOS or CRM, and it does not want to become a third system you have to maintain.
Capacity should come from making your own desks more capable, not from renting someone else's. Your borrower experience is the product you actually sell.
NM
Nima spent more than a decade in CRM and automation consulting for financial services, working inside more than a dozen mortgage companies and banks on the systems that run origination. He founded Lia to build the product those engagements kept pointing at.
